Tobacco Basket Weaving Class
The Kernersville Museum is offering a tobacco weaving class taught by Ms. Nancy Duffie. Ms. Duffie has taught several class for the Duke Homestead in Durham, NC. The cost of this class is $55. You will receive all the materials that you need to make your own tobacco basket during this class.

Where/When
This class will be taught at the Historic Train Depot on May 11, 2019. Class seats are limited. Tickets must be purchased in order to attend this class. You will not be admitted without a ticket. We are offering two class times for this class. We have an 11:00 am session and a 2:00 pm session.

Have you ever wanted to learn how to make your own tobacco basket? You have probably seen these baskets at antique stores. They were used during the harvesting process when bringing in a tobacco crop. These baskets make great additions to your home decor. Your class registration fee covers the cost of the class as well as the materials that will be provided to you so that you can make your own basket during this class. Please note, you will be making your own basket. We will have an instructor there who will teach you how to make a basket, but she will not be making a basket for you.
