In 1971 the Town of Kernersville celebrated the 200th anniversary of settlement of what would be the town of Kernersville. In honor of the celebration the town created a Bicentennial Book, that followed the history of the town and it's current civic clubs and businesses. In 1976 the Town of Kernersville celebrated the bicentennial of the United States. In doing this, they revised the original Bicentennial Book with some updated information, including information about the previous celebration. Below is a digital copy of the 1976 Bicentennial Book. The Kernersville Museum has digitized this for the citizens of Kernersville. We hope that you enjoy strolling through the memories presented in this document. If you enjoy viewing this book, please consider donating to the Kernersville Museum. Donations to the Museum allow us to offer benefits like this to everyone.

Textile Exhibit

The Kernersville Museum was fortunate to have UNC Greensboro graduate student, Amanda Malugin, work on an extension of the Textiles in Kernersville project.
